We now do transfers in 1080i or 1080p in letterbox format to Hard Drive or HD MiniDV in HDV format. We also can burn Blu-Ray.

Film to Video and DVD Conversion Estimator / Order Form Generator

To use this form:

Get your movie film out and organized by reel sizes (measure the diameters of the reels).
If you are not sure if your film is Regular 8 or Super 8, enter it as Regular 8. This will allow the estimator to figure the longest possible running time. If your film is then super 8, we will adjust the price down to reflect the actual number of DVDs or video tapes needed.
Fill in the number of reels that you have of each diameter.
If your reels are not full you can:
- Measure from the center hole to the outside edge of the film, multiply that measurement by two, and use that measurement.
- Enter it as if it were full. We will adjust the cost down to reflect the actual footage on the reel.
Decide and mark the video format that you would like us to record your film on.
- There are links on the format names that will bring up an explaination and picture of each format.
Enter the number of interior titles that you will be needing, if any.
If you want music added, check the box for "Audio". If there is on-film audio, it will be added unless you specifically ask us to ignore it.
Mark the type and quantity of duplicate copies of your film transfer that you need.
Mark how you would like the original film and associated DVDs and/or Video tapes return shipped.
Follow the instructions at the end of the page and each page that follows to generate an order form to enclose with your film.

16mm film transfer timing is calculated at 18 FPS. If your film was shot at 12, 16, or 24 fps, the timing and number of originals will vary.

Note: if you would like a 2 hour DVD, order an SVHS original, and a DVD duplicate. This will lower the DVD quality slightly, due to the analog original and the higher mpeg compression. If you want a VHS copy, order a VHS dupe as well. We do not recommend a VHS original, with DVD dupes.

Titles
The opening title (first thing on the DVD or video tape) is free of charge. Additional Titles are $5.00 each for 50 characters. If you need more then 50 characters, they are charged at $5.00 per 50, with no limits. (Be sure to enclose a list of titles and their placement)

Audio
